The movie is directed by Farah Khan who is known for making ‘masala movies’ or entertainment oriented movies. The star cast of the film includes Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif for the lead roles.The character of ‘Tess Maar Khan’ is inspired by Robinhood’s character which is played by Akshay Kumar in the movie. The story revolves around the character of a criminal who is fearless and also shameless.The thief (Tees Maar Khan) plans to steel some valuables from a train passing through the village. But the thief makes the act look like a film being shot. However the thief gets caught with the help of the evidences collected from the scenes of the movie. But the thief manages to escape during the premiere of the movie.The script of the movie is written by Farah’s husband Shirish Kunder.
