The Leonid meteor shower began on 13 November 2009 and will run until 20 November, and will peak in the intensity of the morning of November 17.
The best time to see the Leonid meteor shower will be after 1:30 ET, and before dawn. The meteors are expected to be visible, because the moon will enter the new moon phase is just in time for the meteor shower.
